Blend: 100% Chardonnay
Vineyards: Wahluke Slope
Aging: Fermented and aged in mostly stainless steel with a slight portion of the wine in contact with oak for added volume in the mouth.
Alcohol: 14.1%
Cases Produced: 5300
Tasting Notes: Notes of golden apples, honey and mineral laden components. On the palate, this wine sports similar attributes and has a very rich and soft mouth feel. Very easy drinking especially chilled in ice!!!
Winemaker's Notes: The unusually cool weather in 2009 allowed the grape clusters to remain on the vine and ripen slowly without very high sugar levels. The 2009 Chardonnay’s aroma is decisively mineral with hints of apple and stone fruit in the foreground. The lees were stirred on both barrel and tank lots, which developed a subtle creamy texture.
